What is it?

Little Hen’s after school club runs straight after school until 6 30pm, Monday to Friday, for children aged 4-11 years old. The purpose is to provide local, working parents with reliable and safe after school childcare. We currently collect children in our own minibus from Witley CofE Infant and Grayswood CofE Primary Schools and bring them back to The Hen House.

Our staff provide a relaxed environment where your children can choose what they would like to play. We have a well-stocked library and games cupboard as well as bean bags for chilling out. Our staff plan activities such as superhero mask making to develop creativity and imagination. For the children who still have energy to burn at the end of the day, our bespoke soft play equipment provides hours of fun and adventure. We encourage children of different ages and schools to play together and make new friends.

We provide a light two course dinner between 4.45pm and 5pm where the emphasis is on variety and nutrition. Wherever possible we ask the children to take part in creating their meal, such as by making their own pizzas. Children have unlimited access to fresh fruit and water.

How does it work?

Little Hens After school club runs from the end of the school day until 6.30pm. We collect the children from school and bring them back to The Hen House. We currently collect children from Grayswood and Witley Schools but are looking for more schools to partner with.

Children are escorted to The Hen House and supervised whilst they play, read or do their homework.

What does it cost?

We offer two price points:

If you pick up your child before 4.30pm we charge £12.

If you pick up your child between 4.30pm and 6.30pm we charge £16 which includes dinner.

We ask parents to let us know well in advance what days their child(ren) will be attending Little Hens, however we know that juggling working life and children can be unpredictable at times, so we also offer ad hoc sessions wherever possible.

Please note, that pricing will be reviewed every 6 months, but we will give you 2 months notice of any changes that will be made.
